After Bungie was acquired by Sony, the CEO spent millions on vintage cars
Parsons' recent actions have sparked much controversy and criticism. His massive purchase of 20 classic cars has raised questions about his company's financial health and leadership decisions.
According to reports, Parsons bought these valuable classic cars on multiple online auction sites for a total of millions of dollars. These include classic Jaguar XKE series, Porsche 911S rare models, etc., each carrying a heavy history and a lot of money.
It is worth noting that Parsons also continued to buy cars after Bungie's layoffs. For example, just a month after Bungie's first round of mass layoffs, he bought a 1971 Porsche 911S Coupe for $201,000.
Most of these vintage Parsons cars appear in an album on Flickr called "Avants Parsons garage tour 2024." In the photo, Parsons is beaming and seems very satisfied with his collection.
When Sony bought Bungie, some employees were initially optimistic about the company's prospects, promising no layoffs or major changes to the company after the acquisition. But two years later, Parsons' classic car collection has grown to 20, and more than a quarter of Bungie's employees have been laid off.
